Our Balloons We have three balloons available in our current fleet, all built in the UK by Cameron Balloons of Bristol. They are of subtly different styles and lifting capacity but all are in our long established dark green with rainbow stripe livery. |
| G-CDDV - Lakeland Rainbow The latest addition is a Cameron 'Z' 250 - a beautiful and elegant shape built to the most exacting standards. Designed by computer to a natural mathematical form which gives zero horizontal stress, the loads are carried not by the fabric but by multiple, closely spaced, vertical tapes.
The envelope has a volume of 250,000 cubic feet and a passenger capacity of 12. Passengers are arranged in four corner compartments with the pilot in the centre of the basket controlling the balloon and triple burner. The balloon is equipped with rotation vents and a rapid deflation system which reduces drag on a breezy landing.

|  | G-BZXF - Cumbrian Rainbow A Cameron 'A' 210. A-Type envelopes have 20 slightly bulbous gores providing tremendous strength and a good surface for artwork reproduction although our balloons carry no advertising.
This balloon has a passenger capacity up to 10 in corner compartments of the basket with the pilot centrally positioned under the triple burner and controlling the rotation and deflation lines.
This envelope is maintained as an alternative to G-CDDV.

| G-BVXF - Andean Rainbow A Cameron 'O' 120. The slightly bulbous 12 gore O-type envelope is suited to fun flying, promotional work or passenger carrying.
With something of a history this balloon started work for High Adventure in Chile, hence its name, and returned to the UK after a spell flying passengers in Ireland.
Capable of flying 5 passengers in a single partition basket with a double burner this balloon is now used for the occasional 'exclusive' flight and winter alpine trips.
